It is true, I am pleased to report that I recovered my landing net by trawling the bed of the pond with a 7oz uptider grip weight, So the trip hazard has been removed and no fish were hurt during the exercise. The net has since been used for its intended purpose.
Rumour has it armed with a 7oz grip lead you have found said net?
